Rolwaling Trek is considered to be the hard trek but yet it is a beautiful area and rarely visited place. The trekking to Rolwaling involves crossing of high pass Trashi Labtsa (5,755m) and the climbing of Parcharmo (6,273m).
The trail to Rolwaling begings from Charikot and reaches to From Simigaon, Charikot is a day drive from Kathmandu then it leads up along the Tama Kosi river banks, under the shadow of Mt. Gauri Shanker (7,145m). The Mt. Gauri Shanker is a holy mountain and a source of Bhote Kosi River.
From Simigaon, the trail turns right along Rolwaling Khola that runs deeply below ahead, it is a part old trade route to Tibet. You can have views of Melungtse (7,181m) while proceeding further through the village of Beding (3,690m) and Na, then, the trail ascends through grass-covered valley to Tso Rolpa lake, subsequently, to the Tram Bau Glacier, which feeds the Rolwaling River, and reach to Thame, from where the route along Bhote Kosi river leads to Namche Bazaar and to Lukla for the flight to Kathmandu.
